1960 Gibson ES-330TDC

1960 Gibson ES-330TDC

THE one. In THE color. From the very, very best era for these; just cannot beat an original, early ES-330 with two original P-90 pickups for punch, clarity, and downright cool, with absolutely unmatchable tone and volume. All original electronic components save for one volume pot, replaced by us right here, done right, was just plain dead and you can have the old one if you want. Got that FAB neck shape found only in a very short time period for Gibson, from somewhere in 1960 to somewhere in 1962; 1-11/16” at the nut but feels a wee bit wider due to its loveliest flat-oval shape around the back. And the look! That unmatchable Gibson red, faded to a point that everyone has tried to copy (including Gibson) but just can’t be done, nohow. Ain’t nothing like a guitar that’s had sixty years of its very own to get you there. Action is great, all set up, intonation right, etc., though I will admit to the first seven or eight frets being pretty worn; this guitar has been played well. Has an extra strap-button screw hole in the heel and a wee bit of finish gone on one side, bass lower bout, oh well, n’importe. Offered with the frets as is but everything else being 100% and original all the way. Have your fave guitar tech take care of this for you or you might even like the frets the way they are, and with 1960 ES-330s commonly seen with asking prices of $9,000 and more, this one is a stone-cold BARGAIN.
