2006 Edwards Special TV Yellow

Gibson Les Paul Special copies just don’t get any better than this, in fact never get this good. Except……….when they’re made by ESP, all of whose guitars are of extremely high quality and are not cheap, in any way at all. From the very top maker in Japan, these Les Paul copies are not sold new in the US for the simple reason that US copyright laws won’t allow it, but there are no such restrictions in Japan nor in many European countries. How this one got here I have no idea, though being made back in 2006 may have something to do with it. It came to me as part of an estate and so I have no way of ascertaining from where and whence it came, but what I do know is that it is a total winner in every way, from stem to stern. It’s faithful in all the right ways: feel, sound, looks, heft (it’s made from genuine mahogany through and through), rosewood fingerboard, the works. The pickups are those hot P-90s, the tuners perfect Kluson replicas, and the bridge is of the correct vintage type, thankfully the kind with a nice pair of set screws for intonation adjustment. The frets are in perfect condition, not a mark on them, and in fact there’s not a mark on the entire guitar anywhere; it’s in mint condition. It even still has its Japanese price sticker on the back plate in Yen, gotta love that. Whip it up for way less than the cost of any kind of Les Paul, even a new one let alone a vintage one, at only $595 w/bag
