1989 Rickenbacker 360 Mapleglo

1989 Rickenbacker 360 Mapleglo

When’s the last time you saw one of these? Maybe never? A way cool, very rare, Rickenbacker Model 360 6-string version, with rounded front edges, matches their best-best-ever 12-string version. This guitar was bought new at my store in 1989 and has remained with that owner ever since and he’s cared for it beautifully, looks like he hardly ever played it. The frets are 99.9%, can’t find no wear on ‘em nowhere; the fingerboard lacquer is 99.9%; the finish on the body and neck, ditto. And how cool is the overall look, with beautiful, slightly aged natural finish (what Rickenbacker calls Mapleglo), set off by black fingerboard binding and pickguards and all-black hardware? This thing looks so great, I can hardly stand it. Plays and sounds it too, with that unique Rickenbacker tone coming from their wonderful proprietary pickups, combined with more controls than anyone ever knew how to use. And of course, it has not one but two output jacks; standard and that wild Ric-O-Sound one, for stereo and, well, Ric-O-Sound. Original hard shell case, equally perfect. Only $1995 w/ohsc
