Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Silver Sparkle 1994

The real deal, an "I-always-really-wanted-one!" gen-you-wine Fender Custom Shop Silver Sparkle Telecaster. Signed, sealed and delivered almost thirty years ago, complete with its original serial numbered CoA hand-signed by John Page, one of the original founders of that fab Fender Custom shop. As a long-time Fender dealer with many pals who worked there I watched John and a few of his cohorts create that special division for Fender from the ground up and they sure did a terrific job. And so……in the spirit of some of those great one-offs, built for people like Buck Owens and Don Rich and other greats of the 1960s, here’s the guitar for all you flashy pickers, hotshots, and honky-tonk heroes, as cool as can be. Has that one-piece solid maple neck, just like it oughta, and it's one hot-lookin’ piece of maple at that, beautifully flamed in the tradition of, well, super-fine flamed maple. No idea what pickups are in it but those guys were given very free rein in them days, made up specs as they went along piece by piece and I will say that this Tele does bust out hot licks every time you ask it to. Better yet, this Fender Custom Shop Silver Sparkle Tele is in prime condition in every way. Nice and clean with its perfect Silver Sparkle finish and frets in 99% condition, all of which is to say that it's been admired a lot over the decades but never rode hard. Even has its original "ashtray” bridge cover still in its original little plastic bag, in the case along with the hand-signed CoA. Its cool original tweed hard shell case is kinda scuffed up on one edge, no idea how it got that way but hey, you don’t play the case. All yours for the amazingly low price of only $2995 w/ohsc
