Gibson ES-125 1962
Gibson ES-125 1962
This is the cleanest, neatest, finest, bestest ES-125 I’ve ever seen. The original workhorse of the Gibson electric archtop line, the ES-125 was the most affordable real-deal Gibson of the kind you could get, from the late-1940s to the early 1960s. One great single-coil P-90 pickup in the neck position, exactly where it's sposeta be; Kluson tuners; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard; and those fast fast Gibson frets of the day; nobody else had ’em. Not to repeat myself but this Gibson ES-125 is clean, original clean, like you’ve never seen before. Maybe got put away on day two, no way to know but the only sign of usage I can find is the tiniest bit of fret wear in the first position only. All set up the way it's sposeta be with a standard wound-G string set, here .011’s, a bit lighter than in 1962 for today's playing styles. And it’s even got its original brown Gibson chipboard case. A keeper. $2795 w/ossc
