Ever seen one of these in the flesh before? In my nearly-sixty-years in this biz I've seen maybe two or three, in the rare thin-bodied 3/4 size. The thicker-bodied ones, maybe, but the cool ones like this? Not so much. Made by Gibson from about 1957 to 1968, exact dating on this one difficult because the usual rubber-stamped FON inside is just plain blurry but it looks most like a “T”, which would put it at 1958. Additionally, the later ones from the 60’s wouldn’t have this cool sunburst finish; they'd be pretty darn red and I like this older style a whole lot better. Regardless, this is one heck of a VERY cool guitar. In gorgeous, remarkable all-original condition in every respect. Terrific P-90 pickup, tailpiece, tuners, pickguard; all of it. Finish nice and clean everywhere, beautifully kept all these years and never fooled with by inappropriate parties. All just thoroughly gone over by us right here in our own shop: frets, nut, bridge, controls; the works. Set up with a correct set of .012s with wound G to match properly with its shorter 22.5” scale length. Has a very interesting bridge too, Brazilian rosewood along with the fingerboard of course, kinda unusual-looking and of a type usually seen only on 1930s-40s Gibsons and I guarantee that it's original to the guitar. Gibson, go figure. I’ll bet none of your pals has one like this. Comes with recent chipboard case. $3395 w/ssc
