This a VERY extra-special, one-off Gibson ES-175D made for Gibson’s display at the 1989 NAMM show. It is of exquisite woods, flamed maple throughout, even has a three-piece flamed maple neck. The fingerboard, which has large mother-of-pearl “crown" inlays, is of ebony, as is the bridge. All parts are gold-plated and all appointments, bindings etc. are of the L-5/Super-400 grade, which really makes it not an ES-175 at all except for its much more comfortable size and dimensions. It’s barely ever been played; I'd have to call the condition near-mint but I’m hard-pressed to find so much as a scratch on it, anywhere. It's even got those “F-hole blockers” to control alleged feedback but I seriously doubt that this wonderful guitar would have any feedback at all. It was of course built in Gibson's Custom Shop and has the special “CUSTOM” truss rod cover. As unique and beautiful a Gibson arch-top guitar as you'll ever see, ever. Comes with traditional type Gibson brown hard shell case. $4995 w/ohsc
