Gurian CLR 1980
Gurian CLR 1980
One of the very last classical guitars from the workshops of Michael Gurian, whose unique and wonderful steel-string models are sought after and treasured throughout the world. Michael got his start in the early 1960s making classical guitars by hand, and sometime after building up his production-line steel string models in his factory in New Hampshire came out with two nylon-string classical models. They are without doubt the finest and most solidly built traditionally-styled classical guitars ever to come from an American factory. There were two versions, the CLM with mahogany back and sides and the top-grade CLR with Indian rosewood back and sides. This CLR is a terrific example of the model. It is in nearly unplayed condition with just a very few almost imperceptible nicks in the finish, and frets that are in flawless condition. No repairs ever done nor needed, no cracks nor any other nonsense anywhere. Action is perfect and the tones are loud, rich, and clear, as only a rosewood Gurian guitar can have. You will not find another like this on the market. A true bargain at only $3995 w/hsc
