Eric Clapton! Our hero, forever! Hand in hand with CF Martin & Co., what could possibly be better? Almost twenty years ago Eric collaborated with Martin and Hiroshi Fujiwara, noted Japanese musician, producer, and designer, to create this magnificent, very Limited Edition Belllezza Bianca (Italian for “White Beauty”) 000-size guitar with back and sides of Big leaf maple (quite unusual for Martin, ever) and select Engelmann spruce top. A gorgeous, intricate mother-of-pearl and abalone shell floral pattern is inlaid the entire length of the fingerboard with 1-3/4” nut width and in the ebony peghead overlay, with matching inlay on the pickguard. If ever a Martin guitar could be called “knockout” this is it. #294 of Edition of the 410 made, it is in excellent-plus condition, even still has its original Martin strings on it. And the case! Matching white, of course, with International hotel travel stickers all over. The Martin label inside the guitar is signed by CF Martin IV, Eric Clapton, Hiroshi Fujiwara, and Dick Boak, head of Martin's Artist Relations department, who put the whole project together.
