Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop '60 Relic 2003

Fender’s Custom Shop, you just can’t beat those folks. Over the thirty-five years I carried Fender guitars in my store by far the most fun I had was working with their Custom Shop, which had just started up after I had already been selling their wonderful regular Fender guitar line for so long. 

So here we have a truly fine custom-built Strat, now twenty-two years old (can you believe 2003 was that long ago?) Built just the way we like ‘em, complete with “slab”, rosewood fingerboard, correct vintage-style frets (in perfect condition), and just a few little nicks in the finish to let you know it's definitely been loved, and otherwise clean clean clean. Has had our revered 100% thorough going-over for correct playability and feel, cool as can be and 1960s here we come. Original ultra-cool, perfect period-corect brown hard shell case with velvety orange lining, of course. Its original Fender "Certificate of Authenticity” comes with it, dated 02/21/03, hand-signed in ink by the General Manager of the Custom Shop Gordon J. Parkman. The whole nine yards. 

 And an inexplicable bonus: still in its original unopened clear plastic shrink-wrap, a full-size Fender Custom Shop 16-month 2009 calendar. No idea how it got there or why but it was in the case when I got the guitar and is now about to be yours. All this for only $3295 w/ohsc
