What were these people thinking? Granted, in 1937 the effects of the depression were still hard-felt, but the concept of matching the back of a horse with the front of a man was reserved for centaurs. Still, someone in Kalamazoo came up with an idea that both saved a few $$ in making a carved-top F-hole guitar and had a wonderful, unique sound and a great new set of tonal qualities. The L-37 has the body size and contour of the much-lauded L-0 and L-00 models and a carved solid spruce top with F-holes. but with the braced back of the flat-top models. No one else had anything like it and still no one else does. This particular Gibson L-37 is in marvelous shape and wonderful condition, a rarity in these, thanks to its having been very thoroughly gone over here in our own workshop from end to end. It is 100% original from the tuning machines to the pickguard(!) to the bridge and right on down to the tailpiece. The frets are terrific too, all part of our having made sure that playability is tops. There was one older minor crack at the bottom of the treble F-hole, since made 100% solid. You won’t find another wonderful, pre-war1930s Gibson acoustic guitar in this kind of condition at this kind of price, anywhere. $1995 w/hsc

If you decide not to keep the merchandise you may ship it back to us in the original carton with all accompanying packaging and paperwork. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
