Back in the late-1950s-early 1960s, when the then-new Guild Guitar company got its start in Hoboken, New Jersey, their 12-string models were a major part of putting them on the “Great American guitars” map. No other top-quality American manufacturers were making any 12’s; not Martin, not Gibson, and there just wasn’t anyone else at that level. Guild made, over the years, versions with mahogany backs and sides, rosewood backs and sides, and a very few ultra-fancy ones with maple backs and sides. Today’s Guild Company makes what I consider to be the very best-built ones ever, right here in America, and this one is a prime example. To us from the family of its original owner and it is in gorgeous condition, barely ever touched. With its jumbo-sized body, highly-figured arched back, solid maple sides and very finely-grained Sitka spruce top, its bell-like tones jump right out and seem to go on forever. It also has, for the performance-minded among you, an active LR Baggs pickup system, factory installed as original equipment. It doesn’t get any better than this in a best-best acoustic 12-string guitar that you can plug in and go right to the top with. Returns

All purchases made from this website - as well as any made via phone orders - are granted a 24-hour approval period. If you decide not to keep the merchandise you may ship it back to us in the original carton with all accompanying packaging and paperwork. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. When we receive the item back in its original condition, we will refund the entire amount of the purchase less original shipping cost outbound.
